Something New This Weekend
« on: March 10, 2014, 05:31:11 PM »
My wife and I were at the grocery store on Saturday, and she picked up a pack of country style ribs and asked I could smoke them.  My answer was, of course, you bet.  So we got that pack, along with a pack of back loin ribs because I wanted to try them and headed home.  Yesterday, I whipped up a new batch of rub, put them on the ribs and went and fired up the chimney starter.  Here are the pics.

The goods rubbed and ready to on

A little bit of liquid refreshment

At about the halfway point

I decided to sauce these because SWMBO prefers them that way

Here are the back ribs, in case you care.  I found out that these don't need to go for as long as BB ribs.   :-[

Done and resting

Your plates, hers and mine.  Some broccoli and cheese and some tasty potato salad to round out the meal.

Thanks for looking!
I love the smell of wood smoke and cooking meat...
