Hello everyone, I am completely new to this forum entirely. I can definitely say that the other day I COMPLETELY lucked out. I was out and about at some antique stores and BOOM a BRAND NEW Weber from the 1970s was sitting right in front of my eyes with a brand new (wooden) work table. I couldn't believe my eyes. I definitely purchased it, but would like some insight on when it was from. The gentleman who sold it to me told me he received it as a wedding gift in 1973 and that they never even used it. In fact the day that I purchased it he took everything out of the box and assembled it for the first time. The table has a few dents probably from it getting banged around while moving, but other than that everything looks pristine. The serial no. on the box of the grill is JBK-360 and the serial no. on the work table is WTS-19. Just brought the thing home so I haven't been able to take any photos outside, but I took some inside the best that I could.

That is an amazing find!!

Welcome to the site!

I can't see the pics, but I can imagine how cool it is. You're like the first time trout fisherman who catches the 20 pounder on the first cast! Hope you stick around and show off what you can do with your new cooking companion. (Presuming you want to actually use it that is! There are some of us here that would recommend picking up $20 beater to cook on and keep this one in the man-cave.)

Welcome to the club, and enjoy the fun!

Welcome, and thanks for sharing that. I could see not using one in that condition. It's not everyday we see an unused grill that old, well that is unless we count the chocolate 22 that Harris posted the other day. Anyways I hope it will find it's way into the gallery. :)

Congrats and welcome.
Why doesn't this happen to me?

Absolutely amazing.  I've been looking for a lime.  I could only dream of finding one like that.  Great score!
