So some of you may know, I made a deal with Duke for the Mothership II.  I had made a deal with Landgraft for Mothership III.  So now the task at hand was to ship Mothership II from Chicago to San Jose.  I have had all kinds of advice on how to ship.  The problem is that it is over 90 LBS.  I didn't have a box, so I tried to build a crate...but that was a bit it was WAAAAAY to heavy.  So by some miracle I found a couple of boxes at work I could graft together to make some kind of makeshift box.  Sooooo after two months of trying to figure out how to ship, I found out a distant kind of relative works for Fed Ex, so we used his number and off it went.  I checked the tracking and it is in San Jose waiting for Duke.  I will say this, part of the deal was I had to keep the legs and triangle.  So Duke agreed and he is going to source those on his own.

Here is Mothership II ready to disassemble

Hopefully Duke will post on this thread next accepting the giant box in San Jose....

Oh on a side note I finally got all the parts and assembled a Weber fire pit that I acquired from G.  It was just the top and bottom parts but now i got all the parts and it's back in action.  I will be burning the crate int he fire pit.  Pics to follow.....if anyone cares to see pics of the burning crate.....

This is the Mothership II

I didn't come up with the name, someone else here came up with the name and they said if they ever get a Ranch they would name it the Mothership.   I said that I loved that name and out of respect I wouldn't steal it, but I would call MY Ranch the Mothership II.  Now that I got another ranch it's the Mothership III, and Duke got the Mothership II....maybe the one the Golly and Hogsy got can be the Southern Mothership...
