So I was sitting her trying to decide what forum would suit this best.  I decided to put it here because it is more about the kettles than the food.  So I have a few birds to grill up.  I was going to put them on my Blue Performer and my new 26, but I thought it would be a lot more fun to roll out some old stuff and put them back into action.   So I rolled the Performer out of the way and rolled in the Seville.  Then I rolled out the new black 26 and rolled in the Brown Chief I just traded for and just got from Troy.  I haven''t had a chance to clean her up but I thought what the hell she's already dirty whats the difference.  I stole Grandpa's legs and wheels just to get the Chief in action.   I also just picked up a vintage side table so I though it made a nice addition and will come in handy.  I'm gonna need a third grill for some squash later so I got the Gourmet out and she is standing by.  So here are a few pics of the new set up, and they are ready to go.....

Here are the birds ready to go on....Seville and side table being used to advantage..

I'll try to update as the day goes on....

Nice cooks guys. Must be cold there Brian......lol.....the pool is frozen.:)
Tried talking the wife into doing a turkey on the roti, but we decided to just pull out the 26r, cause it's cold here too.

Just got a finished cook........forgot to get one of the kettle in action

Mom and Dad, said we have to do the turkey every year, from now on. Ah, the power of a Kettle!

That's a lot of food, Brian.  How many were you cooking for?

zavod44

There was like 20 people here but we need enough leftovers so we can make turkey hash tomorrow, and eat leftovers all weekend long of course...

All those turkeys and classic kettles look amazing. I was debating this morning between one of my vintage cookers and my modded OTG I caved and went with the gold. It came down to my mid 70s Texan, the new to me Chief or the gold... I wanted to use the lid therm for this cook so the Gold one the coin toss.

Here's the setup.. Don't laugh I used the pan again this year. I did the Jamie Purviance apple brined turkey with "BIG TIME GRAVY" I really do like this recipe. Maybe next turkey I'll take the training wheels (roasting pan) off and do it on the grate with the drip pan down below.

Breast side down 1 hour

2 hours in

Ready to come off 3 hours 15 minutes total. 275-300 degrees

Smoke ring

The Chief and the Texan are the main audience cheering on the rookie OTG. As if teaching it to use The Force.

Since this turned into a turkey thread :))

Blue otg with roti ring spacer , 340 ish 2.5 hr garlic butter injected

The smokers were chillin by the heater
