I finished my latest project in just enough time to do an early practice #14 Thanksgiving turkey on it today. It was lowered to regular kettle height and is an old three wheel 22.5 courtesy of AJ (sorry I drilled the lid to add a thermometer AJ) with the Cajun Bandit Stacker that Troy talked about on the front page http://weberkettleclub.com/blog/2013/11/05/smoking-on-a-weber-kettle/. I plan to post more pictures of it in another thread when it's not in use. (That's me in the yellow shirt  :D.)

Here it is about 45 minutes in. I rubbed this with a combination of Bells and Old Bay. I used a some peach wood I had on hand for smoke and am cooking this over lump.

These were taken a few moments ago.

I will post pictures of it finished and cut up later today.

Looks great! Keep us posted! Love the mod and those wheels!

Thanks Craig, here are the finished pictures. I couldn't find my turkey platter, so I just used a glass dish. I saved the drippings for gravy. I will try and take a plated shot later. I will also add the rub combo was really good and I can't wait to use it on another turkey or even a chicken sometime.

Looks really good.  Like the way it turned out done in the modified kettle.
Platinum Performer Kettle (In Blue), OTG (In Blue)
Genesis Gasser (In Blue), Smokey Joe (Uline Lime)
Looking to buy (18.5 blue or brownie and blue lantern)

Okay, here is the plated shot. My butternut squash wasn't finished yet. The garlic mashed potato's, stuffing and gravy were plenty though. The turkey was very good, I think the rub really set it off. Sorry about the messy plate, but I put gravy on everything before I remembered to take the picture.

Time to sit back and relax by the fire and watch A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving with my wife and son.  :)

Very nice looking meal, Shaun! Is this the wood burner you've been telling me about?

Duke

Yes, that's it thanks for remembering.
