Cave Man Roast

Trying a caveman. My butcher suggested a top round roast.

Kosher salt and pepper. Royal Oak lump. The kettle was almost 600 degrees.

    Rippin' Good Cook !!!!!

Thought about doing a whole small roast before, but it seemed like it would not cook thru before the outside got too done......obviously not !!!!

The flavor was fantastic. It was a bit hard to get it cooked enough. I was concerned about that. At the butcher they did not have a steak that was cut thick enough, and I think the roast was a touch too thick, two full inches. I ended up having to put it back on the coals.
