it's addictive

Yup, it’s definitely addictive, we eat last night, but that was just “food”, it wasn’t done on my sj, it tasted good, but still missing something.

So today, a couple of pork chops and some chicken thigh’s went into some brine for a few hours.

Whilst I was waiting, I found a couple of sweet red peppers that needed to be used, so a quick nosey around found me some extra mature vintage cheddar.
That was mixed with a bit of jerk rub, onion and some cream cheese. the peppers were halved, filled with mix and wrapped in streaky bacon, they now resembled some kind of “turd”, definitely not buffalo, more like elephant.

After brining the meat, I covered it with a jerk rub and it was under starters orders, around an hour later and we are off.

First out of the trap was the turds, closely followed by the pork chops, the chicken would have to wait its turn till the chops came off.

Got to say, the turds, despite the look, were amazing, the chops to were pretty good, the chicken however was good, but had way to much rub, so another lesson learned, less can sometimes = more.
Anyway, its been cleaned again and is away for a couple of days, I  gotta to get some fishing done, although I could take it with me, mmmm, food for thought.

Later.

I need a red head in my life, and a roti ring.

Great job! You really are jumping in with both feet.

Nice improvisation on the stuffed peppers.

Methinks a larger weber may be in your future. :)

Beauty of the SJ is you can take it with you.

Keep up the great work.

You got a good start and knack for coming up with cool creations. I like the peppers.
