Bday cook
« on: July 22, 2013, 10:11:23 PM »
Last weekend was my 26th bday. I've been in IL for a few weeks so we had a party at home. Here are some snaps of Ribs, Turds, and beginnings of a stew. We had alot more food there but those are on the other camera. My buddy hooked it up with an iGrill too so it was a good day! Since people always ask, I am using a gripped D700 with either a 50mm f1.8G or 80-200mm f2.8D Thanks for looking!

Some Mise en Place

I forgot what this is called but you boil it down into a stew and add some stir fried meat or shrimp to it.

Turd's on a $10 Redhead three wheeler. Smoking on this was a pain as the vents were shot. I ended up moving it to the Ranch to finish them off.

Lots of space on the Ranch. I got 6 racks loaded up and 60 turds with plenty of room. Charcoal snaked underneath.

Finished ribs. The toothpicks were for labeling. I made 2 batches. One that was a little spicier and finished with honey and KC Masterpiece and the second batch without the toothpicks were sweeter finished with Sweet Baby Ray's.

$10 Redhead courtesy of Zavod.
