Ever cooked a frozen dinner for the oven on the kettle?
« on: July 23, 2013, 01:11:30 PM »
Me either.  I have cooked just about everything on a grill, but never a FULL SIZE frozen dinner from the grocery store.  You know the kind that comes in a large foil pan and takes like 90 minutes to heat from frozen, and is usually some terrible kind of lasagne.   I am strongly considering trying it tonight.  If I do I will post here, but I am wondering if anyone has ever done this.

And please, dn't ask why anyone would eat one of these, period.   :o

I regret to say that while digging deep into the freezer one night, I grilled some frozen pot pies. Indirect, Of course and that cooked up beautifully. Also avoided heating up the house using the oven.

I did heat up some frozen food when the electricity was off during Sandy. I loaned our genesis to our neighbor (they had an electric stove), and I used the 26 as an oven. We slowly ate everything out of the deep freeze in the basement before it totally thawed out. Even had some ribs I smoked frozen in vacuum sealed packs. We actually ate pretty good while the electricity was off.
