Belated birthday dinner

My big brother turned 50 back last December, and with my work travel, I haven’t been home for more than 2 weeks straight since October. Today, we finally celebrated! Our recent tradition has been for me to travel to his house and make him a full meal, which is a blast.
We had a beautiful day to cook on his egg. The menu was homemade spinach dip, crash potatoes, a french onion broiled with mozzarella, and 3 pound tomahawk slow smoked finished with a reverse sear.
It was a long overdue and wonderful day. Lots of laughs and good food.

Looks awesome Michael! Brother time is special, going to spend Memorial Day weekend at my brother’s next month and can’t wait.

And of all places, Walmart carries then where I live. It was $12/ lb and very well marbled. Walmart sells prime grade beef, too.

The egg is cool. Not enough space on the 18. I don’t like having to take the defector out to sear but it can sear a steak very well!!
