Any agents around? I'm 186 miles away. It's a newer performer. I have family in Knoxville wondering if they can be an agent.

The gourmet grate alone is worth that!

Whoever gets it should inquire about the original grate, too.  No point in leaving that behind if they are ditching the charcoal cooking.  I find that people are happy to throw in chimneys, grates, and other accessories when they are selling.  Except for Peaspurple-- that guy has a tight grip on everything on his deck.  ;-)

It's mine! He's holding it for until tomorrow. The igniter button doesn't work that's why it's so cheap. Everything else is working, cover, gourmet cooking grate and having gas assist again makes it a deal for me. My guess is $50 in gas with my SUV getting 26mpg. I'll go see family for lunch and bring the new family member home.

If I can figure out how they breakdown I could take it apart and take the car up there to save more money. Anyone know the tools needed? Or the dimensions of a performer like this?

I'm qualified on SS breakdown, but have never worked on a newer Performer.  The old ones only need two 7/16 wrenches, phillips and flat screwdriver, and maybe a vicegrips to get the axle caps off.  I would hope that the newer ones would be even simpler, but I could be wrong about that.

I do know that the newer ones are a couple of inches taller, though.

And remember if you're traveling solo that the lid and bowl should fit comfortably in the passenger seat.

Well it will fit in my ford escape with the back seat down. Breakdown looks pretty simple with Phillips heads being the majority of the screws holding it together. I used the measurements from a new performer platinum off of the weber site. 50" long 40 tall and 24 wide. I should be able to transport it just fine. Plus my son gets to see his grandmother for a few hours so its a bonus.

If it has an internal ash pan you should get it.
