Custom Handles Comparison
« on: January 16, 2022, 10:38:41 AM »
Both of these sets of custom handles are top notch, not comparing for quality as they leave nothing to be desired.  Just for the fun, which do you like the best on this Ivory Master Touch?  First set is from Marty Leach, oak and customized with my WKC “handle”, pun intended.  Second set I got recently from Zavod44, Tiger Maple -
was going to update my red LE but thought I’d try them on the Ivory first.  The grill sits in the Weber room, too pretty to use right now lol…. Let’s hear what you think!

Forgot to mention I removed the taco and replaced the assembly with a SS lilyankee assembly.  I definitely like that part better than the taco.

Both sets are definitely beautiful. On that kettle I prefer the Marty Leach handles, and would stain the sidekick to match.

Thanks for your response!  I’ve got identical handles from Marty on a Glen Blue 26” and my 22” WSM.  He makes some pretty incredible handles.  T-Roy and Harry Soo have them on theirs too.  So much fun making these late models your own.  Of course for the vintage models I like them to be as original as possible.

Man that’s a tossup really. Like both. The darker definitely works great with the Ivory. And yep...I need an Ivory, after wanting one and saying I don’t need one.

I can appreciate Marty’s handles, but in my opinion, Zavod’s handles are, hands down, the way to go!

I prefer the original Weber look of Brian's handles as well.

Thanks guys, I also really appreciate the workmanship of both sets.  Luckily I've got more than one grill so I don't really have to decide.  What I'd really like to finish off this Ivory is the red faced Euro model thermometer.  Can't seem to find one though.

The darker oak really stands out on that grill, very nice!
I may be biased - I just bought this handle for my ivory Smoker Joe.  :D

Thank you - I agree!  I can't take credit for it, but the instant I saw it, I knew I had to have it.  ;D
