Built a new drum at the shop this week, still waiting on the hinge for the lid or I would be trying this thing out this weekend! Can’t wait to see how the carbon fiber holds up!

I really like the look and the casters. I just turned a drum into a vertical rotisserie for making tacos al pastor. Not as pretty a job as yours though. Kinda crazy to put so much into one dish though.

I’ve researched making a dedicated vertical al pastor cooker. It’s not crazy at all! I’ve used the CB roti to make them, but a third of the meat ends up falling into the hot coals. Are you originally from SoCal?

I’d like to see pics of your al pastor cooker.

I use Hunsaker’s vortex fire basket and I build my own heat shield not sure if the vinyl will hold up to the heat but we are going to find out
