Thanks, me too.  The openings on each side are perfect for scraping off a large spatula.  Glad I got this one instead of the Hunsaker which has oval small openings.

SNS Plancha.....love it and recommend it.  1/4 inch thick carbon steel.  Holes are perfect for cleaning your spatulas with a quick scrape.
