Scored this today. Grill, bag of charcoal, chimney, and a cover I havent pulled out of the shopping bag it was in yet. It looked gross, covered in bird poo, but it was protecting this beauty.

Before pics:

For the wholesale price of $10 for everything. I felt bad because the girl was kind of ditsy, so I was going to give her $20, but she told me she is a vegetarian and wanted it gone. $10 it is!!!

I was going to tell her that, but then she may want to keep it, and we can't have that.

Here she is lightly cleaned. I may spend more time shining a few spots further. I have two other SJ's so this may just be a closet queen for a bit.

The coppers are really tough to find, great pickup!

Wow, nice clean SJ!   ;)

Question for the masses...

Should all of the "gold" series SJ's have a handle like that with the 'NIBS' on the top to hold the lid-bail in place?   I have a copper grill just like this, but it has a standard plastic SJ handle.
Interested in ANY offset handle SJs you may have.

edhead35, I know you had missed out on some other grills recently and this one's a real sweetheart. I didn't even know they once made this model in copper.
It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch

It is actually really difficult to get the locking bar off, once it clicks in. My other SJ Gold has the normal indented handle.
