That 5000 looks incredible! Really great job! There is no better grill on the market. Weber made them too good, really. Yours is priceless. I'll have to search your posts, but how did it start off? It must have been in pretty good shape?

Did you add screws to the flip down shelves? It looks like 2 screws in the end slat.
I was thinking of trying that to prevent them from twisting when the shelf is up in use. Maybe it isn't such an issue on newly screwed slats?

The original lid is Dark Green. I saw a red platinum for sale so I combined the dark walnut woth a red lid. The frame is in great shape. Its full frAme l powder coat. Sand blasted the firebox and end caps.
