Made some burgers with the slow n sear this evening.

I lit about 1/2 a chimney of charcoal and waited until the smoke was clear and I could just see the heat waves from a distance.

I seasoned the ground chuck 80/20  burgers with Hi Mountain Mesquite Burger Western Seasoning.

I put them on the indirect heat with lid on until they reached 145 degrees. Took about 15 min.

I then started the searing process and got some nice char. About 30 seconds each side. I then pulled them back on the indirect side and laid on the cheese.

I toasted the buns. And built the burgers with lettuce, tomato, onion, ketchup, mayo and mustard.

They came out delicious the meat got to 155 degrees and had a little pink in the inside.

My 1 year old sure did love his cheeseburger.

Any tips welcome!?

I think that you pretty much nailed that one, they sound perfect.
It looks like the youngster would agree!

I need to play around with my SnS some more. I've been neglecting it.

Burgers look spot on to me.

Looks good to me!  Cute kiddo!  Miss that age with my kids.

I might sear longer than 30 seconds.  I reverse sear burgers too.   Mine are usually 1/3 pound or more and I sear for at least a minute.

Exactly how I do them, maybe sear a little longer.  It's awesome having dual temp zones.  Makes cooking burgers so pleasurable and you can toast buns easily without them getting away from you.  Did a recent cook for the fam and it was so laid back cooking them that way.  Nice job!

Thank you so much!  Half the fun is choosing which kettle to cook on....  I probably talk about it all day before a cook as my wife rolls her eyes lol....
