Wok on a Weber.

I'm thinking of trying it.
I own a wok & all its "little goodies" & used it a lot in the past, but we've had electric only kitchens so its kinda got buried.
I'm thinking of just opening the center circular section & running it on the Weber. I'm thinking the 2 baskets of coals in the center ought to do the trick.
Any tips/tricks? Its only been used on a gas stove previously.

Center circular section, as in GBS?

Try a dry fit to make sure the wok won't hit the baskets

I personally just dump the coals in the center - I guess depending on how hot you want it

Pick your favorite recipes, and after two or three tries (maybe after one) you'll have it dialed in

Good point! Yes I'd planned on a cold mock up.
I also have the original circular "base" for the wok. Maybe that as its a bit shallower?
Its not really the heat per se that I'm looking for but the gradient. Woks work best with a ]very hot center & a comparatively cooler outside edge.
That was the main reason it didn't do well on an electric stove, the heat source was too diffuse & large.
