Anybody else hear about this? Tried it? If so, what kind of prices did you find, and how was the meat quality?

My mom just bought four big ribeyes for $30 from the one where she lives, but I called the TR here in my town and they were trying to push some big package that included potatoes, a salad, a bottle of wine, etc. When I finally asked them about getting just the steaks, they said they're $16 each. Doesn't sound like that great of a deal, especially since I'm guessing they're choice grade.

Well, the math tells me that's a bad deal, but I'd be more concerned about the safety of buying raw meat from a restaurant. That's just me though.

My guess is they're trying to unload excess inventory.  It's not a good deal from what I've seen.
