A lot of times I'm not going to lie I flip my Vortex over and slide it over. It works

do you do this for steaks? or does it work better on wings? got to tell you not so happy with vortex...for wings i put around the perimeter vortex full of lump...it does hit 500 but after 30 mins back down to 400 heat...so not sure how people say 650-700 degrees for the cook?

maybe i will....actually never cooked with briquesttes in my life...3 hours ribs and 300 baby back ...always used lump..will try 1/2 lump and briguettes next time...
