Took my 14 year old son on his first dove hunt today, he was able to take one down and I walked away with a smile. Apparently he can't run with the big dogs though, fell asleep on the drive home. We're making bacon wrapped cream cheese and dove stuffed jalapeño poppers

Very nice, way to pass on the hunting tradition. Those memories will be treasured

If he had a drivers licence you would have been the one taking a nap though!

Quality time right there. Grate your son enjoys the time honored tradition. Awesome job teaching him.

Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

Bring your pellet gun to my house, they have been eating pecans and walnuts so I bet they taste good

Funny I had just searched for some squirrel recipes the other day on a whim.  Got a good chuckle when one of the recipes  referenced "Limb Chicken."
I hadn't heard that one before.

I've heard people call them tree rats.
