Hello from Chicagoland!

So I recently inherited this beauty....it's a little rough, but I'd like to save it.

Biggest problem is that it's missing a leg socket...any suggestions on where to find a new socket or how to make something?

Thanks!

Welcome to the club!!!

Greetings from Greendale, WI.  That's a sweet kettle to inherit.  As far as a leg socket, you might have to be patient if you're looking for a matching Cado socket.  In the meantime, you could use a black leg socket (painted to match, or not).  Good luck with the resto.

Obviously looking for a Glen Blue (who isn't?😂).

Looking for anything Happy Cooker, including any re-branded as Montgomery Ward.  I've amassed a nice collection, but I'm missing a few still.  Let me know if you can help a fella out🤞

Welcome.  I have some detached sockets with the legs still seized inside.  They're not avocado, but they're yours if you want them.

Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

Nice! Welcome from the south suburbs of Chicago. Keep us posted on the restoration. @potsieweber has a donor kettle for some sockets in the meantime.
I swear, when I score a great deal on a 26" I'll stop buying grills... So often.

Yeah just bolt a black leg socket on there, then if you ever find a cado you can swap it out or weld the cado one on.

And welcome from Kansas. I made a 6.5 hour road trip for my avacado
