I seen enough movies to know there must be some ghosts hanging around there somewhere.

Looks like a portion of a small portion of a sign telling you that you must wear a mask in the store.

Is that the end of a rotisserie that holds up the motor?

Yes, it is.  It is similar, but not identical to one @harris92 was told was purchased in the early 1960's.  (So, I guess it is possibly a "Wood Dale").  Also similar to the one on his glen blue roti ring.   @LaffinBooda's glen blue roti ring also had the same one with the "winglets".  Mine is a bit different from both of theirs as it has a circular opening below the slot.

Based on one of @harris92's photos, I bought this motor off of ebay with a bracket that I believe will fit the roti ring with that bracket with the "winglets" on the sides.  I have the handle-less skewer from another ring that hopefully will fit this one too.

I was thinking the circular opening underneath would allow a motor with a clip in the center, something like the one in the attached pics, to be used (with the two screws at the top removed anyway).

I got something extra in a box when I bought a mint condition 1980 MBH last year. A quite unbelievable find in the UK.
