Vents removed indicate it was most likely done after it left the factory.

It is purty.  I've got a black WSM that has about 3-5 flecks of red inside the bottom bowl, so that is my "red" one.

A fellow member kindly agreed to agent this for me and secured it last night.  The main portion is painted over, sloppily & the wrong colors, so I've bought myself another project.

Here is the picture from the ad.  As you can probably tell, the sign is embossed but painted over somewhat sloppily and using wrong colors.

You can see how the sign SHOULD look like in this thread where @harris92 found a very nice example (just about a year ago) & explains how this type of sign has a bit of Weber history.  http://weberkettleclub.com/forums/index.php?topic=40943.msg407027#msg407027

I find it interesting that not only is the sign mounted on a table, but the table has some hooks for hanging barbeque tools.  Makes me wonder if these were made specifically for Weber (or at least the tables), or if some company actually made the combination sign & table back in the day to sell to ordinary consumers.

So, I'll have some paint stripping & repainting to do.

Hal

Really pretty.  Almost looks like a polished granite or something.  I'll be curious if we every see any pics with it being cooked on.  I probably wouldn't, but that is just me.  My view is that I have way too many other grills to cook on & can't really bring myself to cook on anything that is NOS or unique (and unused) like that.

Whoa cool, I've never seen this version of a Weber bird feeder.  TFS.
