The same red porcelain overspray, where you'd probably least expect it.
Bottom of a wood-handled 18 WSM with no date code.

I never noticed it before, until I wound up cleaning it up for a possible trade at the Chicago meetup.  Was kind of happy that the trader/seller decided to take cash instead because now I've probably got the only "red" WSM.

I mentioned it to two people, one asked me if I was sure it wasn't painted or a brick red because they had not seen any red SJs that were not an offset handle.  (That's why I took a pic with it next to the red mist).  Maybe I'll do a post how I got it, because it started out as a total bust.  Plus, the guy turned out to involved in something interesting that had been a pretty big topic of conversation on here a number of years back.
