"Wood Dale?

Wood Dale?

You THINK I'm a Wood Dale?

You SAID you thought you RECOGNIZED me!

And then you just SIT THERE & ask if I am a Wood Dale?

Wood Dale, Wood Dale, Wood Dale is all you can say . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . I WAS A FUCKING STAR!

People would come from miles around JUST TO SEE ME!  NOT anyone else, ME!"

Then, she got quiet and said: "I should have known you'd be just like @hawgheaven."

And that, is basically how I met this crazy, pimply assed 64-68 old grill, who thinks she used to be a star.

Well...after @ReanimatedRobot suggested I go out to see her anyway.

Thank you.  I was hoping to amuse someone in addition to myself.  I was assumed the extra O on the lid was making people guess it was a Wood Dale.  Never really paid too much attention to all the darn letters on the vents before.

The shout out to @hawgheaven was another clue as he mentioned (at least twice) that his first Weber grills was a DEMO, but he didn't realize what it was when he had it & no longer has it.

Hal

Damn, I'm curious on that one.  Painted over bowl.  Lid with a Simpson's handle, which upon closer inspection looks like a painted over yellow so probably a painted over Simpson's lid on an MBH.  What color is that bowl underneath?

Well I am not as poetic or as good with teases as some members with my just one tease pic.  However, I just got this beauty finished up tonight and in am pretty proud of her. Absolutely no rust after the thorough cleaning and only some rim rash and minor dings from usage over the years. All original with exception to one missing leg washer. I will end up looking in some old rusty parts bins to eventually find a match. In the meantime I used SS hardware.  I had a heck of a week for finds the week I found this one.  Tuesday was a yachtsman, Friday was this beauty, and Sunday I had a family member pick up my next tease that I will finally get my hands on this Sunday to start the next restore.
