Lost my grill buddy

He had a good long run. Nothing but steak and salmon for the last couple of weeks for him.

Condolences, HoosierKettle.
We always have a pack of dogs at our house, but it is never easy to say goodbye to one of them.

Family pets are a big part of a family (especially dogs and cats). The facial expressions, the joy, and the unconditional love he gave you, will never be forgotten, and will forever live on, in your heart and in your memories of him.

Thanks fellas. It stinks but I’m sure there are folks on here dealing with worse things.

We had 2 dogs forever. Lost the first one a couple years ago and no we have none. It’s definitely a little weird around the house but we are going to take a break from pets for awhile.

Down the road, I would like to adopt an adult dog that someone couldn’t keep for some reason or another.  I can’t get the wife on board with that yet.

Sorry to hear that. It sucks but we are taking a break too. Mine passed  Christmas eve. We need up getting a 6 year old female from my buddy a couple months later, had her for 3 weeks and she ate a bed sheet we put in her doghouse while we went to my daughters birthday party. So that has made me leery about getting another one. If the right dog comes around you will know it.

Sorry to hear about your loss. Pets are wonderful to have around, but damn it hurts when they go.
