Smoked then Vortex'd Wings
« on: May 01, 2019, 08:15:34 PM »
Was putting some ribs on the WSM and had room for some chicken wings.  I was trying hot and fast ribs, which came out pretty good.

Put the wings on the WSM for 90 minutes around 275-325 then put them on the 22 kettle for 15ish minutes with the vortex ROARING!

came out awesome!  No sauce needed just some Butt Rub.

Thanks!

They look awesome. Sounds similar to how Smokey Bones does them. They smoke then deep fry then drizzle just a little bbq sauce on them.

Wow, those look amazing!
I need to try that combination. My son loves smoked, fall-off-bone wings, and I love crispy. This may be the best of both worlds.
A bunch of black kettles
