Lavalock gaskets
« on: December 17, 2018, 03:49:24 AM »
For those that have lavalock gaskets, did you install it on the rim of the lid? I'm assuming right where it forms the lip as so the lavalock almost is almost bent at a right angle if that makes any sense? Pictures would help if anyone has any.

      Thanks,

I have done this twice but I don't have any pics.  One was 1/2" lava lock that I folded to fit as I placed it on the lid lip as you suggest.  The other was a smokey joe lid I added to a mini drum.  I used 3/8" lava loc and placed it on the flat of the lid lip/  Both worked well, the smaller width gasket seemed easier to deal with when in use.  Meaning the lid fit a little better.
