Long story short, I really messed up and now have cooking oil stains on my A code weathered warrior. I'm pretty pissed at myself but what's done is done, maybe?  Is there anything I can do to get my fade patina back?  Or, is this just hurry up and wait?

Darko

Cook with it. It will get back to what you want.

Maybe a degreaser? Other than that I'm with @Darko...don't worry about it.

qrczak1

I wouldn't use a degreaser. I have the same and honestly didn't find a way to get it clean (I don't want to use a degreaser as it can damage the weathered patina)

Hell Fire Grill

That fuck ups gonna cost you at least 10-12 kettle karma points...
You can't always get what you want....but if you try sometimes you get what you need

Wow, you're being rather hard on yourself ... $h!t happens.

This has happened to me.  I recommend covering the entire lid and bowl in oil / bacon grease.
Then everything is uniform.  Then do as Darko mentioned, and all will be good in your world ... after some time.  Patience.  8) ;)

Q: How do you know something is bull$h!t?
A: When you are not allowed to question it.

Don't fear.  Look at what my Wood Dale looked like when I got it.  I rubbed down the exterior with Pam, and eventually it developed an even patina.

Yep mine got penetrating oil on it by my agent. I made a hot fire in it, and even gently used a weed burner on it in short bursts. A lot of the stains did disappear but it wasn't the same. I ended up Pam'ing it and actually like it looking like it did when new better than the faded look.
