SMOKE FREAK

I need to give full credit for this dish to Cowgirl...
For those who don't know cowgirl she is nothing short of legendary in the world of outdoor cooking...
A major inspiration for me and so full of new and great ideas...
Here is a link to her food blog...If ya have time check it out...

Anyway I used my charcoal fired discada on my 22" green Weber to cook some sausage...

Moved the sausage aside and scrambled 10 eggs...

Smashed some shredded potatoes into a CI pan and covered that with the sausage...

Added the eggs and some shredded smoked pepperjack cheese...

Added some bacon on top and onto the grill it goes...
I'm cooking over the inverted Vortex with lit coals around the perimeter...
Temps ran between 350-400 at the lid for an hour and a half...
Ready to come in...

Slipped it right out of the CI and started cutting...
My son started eating the first slice before I could even get the camera turned on...

Anyway the taters were crispy and the eggs were not rubbery so it turned out great...
Thanks for checking it out...

Looks incredible. Gotta try that. Your disco seems like one of the quasi wok designs but that probably works better for this anyway. And thanks for the link!
It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch

The disc is 22 inches and fits nicely on top of a 22" kettle...It only needs a handful of hot coals to heat the center which is where all the cooking takes place...The handles give about 1/4 inch air gap all around...I just cant get myself to use it on a gas burner for some reason...But that's just me...

Wow that looks delicious.
I'll give that a try soon

That is some serious American breakfast. Nice job. I saw the thread title and fully intended to work the word "Reverse" into a comment, but that just looks like a great cook.

Ok, I guess that I worked that in anyway...

I should add one thing...This is only the breakfast version...I've made it many ways...Always starts with the taters...After that it's whatever you want it to be....Pulled pork or beef with whatever ya want with it...No end to the options...Just fill it up and "bake" it in your grill or smoker...
