Squirreling away NIB items
« on: April 19, 2018, 08:24:38 PM »
I know as some people use everything in their collection from time to time, but I'm guessing that a lot of you have a few items squirreled away for another day. They might be rare accessories or complete kettles.

So time to fess up. What do you have in your collection that you won't use, and why?

I had a NIB CB grey SJ that  got from another member a long time ago. I finally put it together 2 weeks ago, posted up some pics, and immediately got an offer to trade. It's being passed on now! I feel like I should have unpacked it a long time ago so I could have enjoyed looking at it for longer. Anyways, I don't usually feel the need to cook on a NIB kettle because I know how they'll cook and I already have plenty of colorful and fun cookers. I do enjoy looking at them and showing them off to other enthusiasts.

My NIB stuff isn't quite as old. I have a blue OTG from a couple years ago before they quit offering them and I just put away a LE red kettle. I have a few other odds and ends like a NIB condiment rack and a NIB 22" grate with rectangular cast iron griddle and grate inserts.

I sold the PK 360 today to make room for the generously gifted Ivory that's been sitting in the box since my birthday in October.  I have a couple of lime SJs, a Blue Bud Light NIB and as soon as the Mrs goes on her next work trip the Ivory will see daylight!
