Was a good soup day in central Virginia... temps in the mid 40's.  Started off with some lightly seasoned turkey drumsticks on the 26" with a couple of apple chunks. Once they were done, reloaded with some chicken for later in the week (I try to do most of the cooking for the family on the weekends).  While the chicken was going- got busy chopping the vegetables for the smoked turkey soup. Onions, carrots, mushrooms, peppers, green beans, zucchini, yellow squash and collard greens complimented the smoked turkey nicely.  Finished the cook with a couple of Booker's. All in all a good days work.

Together we'll fight the long defeat.

Looks delicious! I could go for a bowl of that right now! YUM!!
Multiple kettles and WSM's. I am not a collector, just a gatherer... and a sick bastard.

Thanks. I was pleased with it. Much like chili, it tasted better the second day.

I have done smoked turkey soup before. Good call on using apple.

Soup looks tasty!
