My wonderful wife bought some chuck roasts from Costco. I ground one up this morning for burgers. After watching Troy’s Juicy Lucy video, I decided to give it a shot and make a couple, along with several burgers with the “Weber’s Ideal Cheeseburgers” recipe from the Weber’s Greatest Hits book, which I’ve had a lot of success with lately.
I cooked the Juicy Lucys slow on indirect, but seared the others and then finished them on indirect. All of the burgers ended up overcooked, at least to my liking, but were still pretty good. Throw in a couple of dirty martinis for me and my wife, and it makes for some good eatin'.
