My grill area is only 2 steps down. I climb ladders in bad weather for a living. No injuries today at work but some how I busted my ass on my two steps Tonight after work. I had salted them this morning but they were still slick. Granted I had three ipa's which I think contributed but be careful. Caught me completely off guard. The pain was intense. My wife took pictures of my bruised ass but I will spare you. I'm in pretty bad pain currently.

With that said My wife brought home an aldi pork butt which is usually boneless and in a net. They changed to boneless no net. I tied it up and stuck it on the roti. We will see how it goes. I'll update when finished. I think I'm finished right now lol.

Your not lying. I didn't bounce at all. Luckily I'll probably just be sore for awhile.  It had me worried.

I really feel your pain! Got hurt the other day slipped on a marble floor going to a customer. Landed on my side on my tool kit and ribs are all bruised. I hate this SHIT! Be safe all. Hope you feel better @HoosierKettle .
Wife said "No more GRILLS in this house!" So I bought a 2nd house!

I've done that too.  No fun at all. The bruises are good reminders to watch what your feet are doing in the future.  I'm glad you didn't break anything.  Let's be careful out there!

mhiszem

Glad you are just sore. It could have been worse. Looking forward to finished pork butt pictures

Just another reminder as I just fell on my steps AGAIN. No beer was involved either. I climb ladders for a living and don't have trouble there but somehow keep falling on my deck steps. This one was pretty bad. I bruised a kidney.

I usually wear crocs when I get home so I can slip on and off as I go to the grill. Anyways I will not be wearing crocs and I will tear out those steps and redesigning them. Each fall seems to get worse so I can't afford another one.

Anyways be careful and take full precautions.

Holy moly - AGAIN? Bruised a kidney?  I'd move.

J/K - Glad to hear you're on the mend. Slipping on the ice is no joke.
Wife: Let me guess... you want to grill again

Next is a hip, then you'll really be butt sore. Stop the steps. Be careful, no one like a banged up butt.

Get some of that no-slip tape stuff maybe? Its probably mostly the crocs to blame, but I've been on some slippery steps
