First Wing trial with Vortex

This is simple additional to your grilling arsenal is game changer.    First time using it and temps over 600 degrees.   Smoking wings tonight and can't wait to  see how crispy and tasty wings come out !!! I have been  doing wings with baskets for years and hopefully I will taste and see the difference.    Can't wait !!   Any tips from anyone on using the Vortex.     Thanks for any help !!

Most definitely better than baskets. In my opinion the best accessory for a kettle. Remember it doesn't have to be put in the center of the grate as it can be put in offset of center to give more room for indirect med/high heat. It can be also used wide end up for roasting infared beer can chicken.

Kettle and Vortex belong together. That and Fire Wires, if you like to skewer stuff. Yer off to a good start there, looks spot on!

BTW, word of advice... wear shoes while operating a grill of hot coals... just sayin. Don't ask me how I know... 8)
Multiple kettles and WSM's. I am not a collector, just a gatherer... and a sick bastard.
