Notbteally a mod but cool
« on: November 19, 2017, 12:36:50 PM »
So...
I have been working with a local grillfella to score another blue.

Came across a blue performer GA bowl n lid on a gen 2 frame.  Worked the deal, ordered all new parts and they all arrived yesterday.

Assembled and swapped out a black GA bowl and installed the blue in the SSP frame and shines up the stainless.

Turned out awesome!!!

What do you guys think???

Lets just say I have acquired a few Kettles.  Big and small.   Vintage and New...  Some say I have a problem.  I find the Kettle, buy the Kettle, USE the Kettle...No problem...

Very nice, wish I could do the same with my blue

You have a blue Performer on a 2nd Gen frame, wanting an SSP frame? Let's talk.
It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch

Love it. Did the exact same thing to mine. Traded a grillfella a nib h code kettle for his birth year for the nib bowl and lid.
