Leg of Lamb tips?
« on: October 28, 2017, 02:27:41 PM »
So Halloween is on Tuesday and every year I throw a little party. I usually do things that are easy and don’t take much prep or attention cause I am a big kid and like to have fun. Going to do my usual, whole pork loin, 8lbs of wings, a bunch of Mac n cheese, roasted French beans, roasted potatoes, and adding a boneless leg of LAMB this year.

I have never done lamb on the grill. The only plan I have so far is I am doing it on the rotisserie. I am thinking no smoke. Any other ideas, tips?

Yes smoke! I have done it with applewood don’t hit it to hard just a kiss of smoke depending on what you marinated it in or what seasoning you are putting on.

Lamb is awesome on the grill. Light smoke and take to 135 -140. Herb flavors like thyme and rosemary works well with it.

Thanks guys. Think I am going to go with this recipe and do a very light apple smoke. 1 chunk right in the beginning.
