My buddy got this 22 taco from a tenant.
Upon inspecting it, there's no code on the lid.
Anybody here explain?

That's what I'm thinking as well.

Why would a replacement have no stamp?

I have seen some in stores like this over the last couple years. All tacos and most of em' the rare Black models. Bendeco mucho taco espanyol'. Probably worth more to them new fangled whacky Weber Kettle dudes with them fancy themometers with them there wires. Charge em' a few hundred and they will feel good. Better than if they'd of just gotten an MBH.
"Why do you have so many bbq's?"....."I just like lookin' at em' sometimes....and I have enough purses and shoes"

In Europe the same. All warranty replacements have no stamp.

Ja.. what he said ^  :-)
I had a black MT lid replaced under warranty also here in Europe and it comes blank ( with out numbers or letter codes )
I always try to hang onto the original lid as long as I can for the warranty code. 2-3 years and I snap a photo of the vent and sell the lid on.
