Great ideas, @Erich and @LiquidOcelot. What's the working time of polyurethane? Is it a 2 part mix?

They are two part mixes.  Exact ratio between A and B parts depends on the exact resin you choose.

The pot life varies but mostly 20-30 minutes.  Cure time 2-3 hrs at room temp.

Would something like this work? If my math is correct, the circumference is a little over 17" just flip it inside out and squeeze it on or run a bead of hot glue on the inside maybe. At least something like this is accessible to anyone... of course that's IF the length of this belt is really 17"

This was exactly my first thought. The seam might be a bit of an issue though, which is why some folks are focused on a casting.

A 17" belt wouldn't have a seam, it would tightly fit over the wheel.

If yall are doing a 3d print of the replacement tire..could you make the tread say "weber kettle club" for the traction surface. Just a thought

I suppose the belt could fit? For some reason I was thinking there would be a little extra play around a Weber wheel; it wouldn't fit tightly and would need to be cut/glued. If it works as-is...awesome!

I have a supplier who does custom plastics and special polymer resin castings for us. I have talked to them a few months back and was going to sacrifice a tire for them to copy but just haven't done it yet. If someone has come up with a drawing I could send it to them to make us a prototype to try, They wouldn't charge me anything for the prototype.

The belt seems like the most accessible solution to me.
Someone needs to figure out how to attach it to the wheel.

I modeled out the wheel in CAD.

@JEBIV Will they accept a CAD file?

@pbe gummi bear Would you mind sharing the cad file? I have a local lead here as well that seems promising. They do all kinds of custom belting and extrusions. Thx!
