About Thermometers

My local BJs Wholesale Warehouse sells this brand of blue tooth thermometer for $20. Is this good or do I need to get something more expensive?

That's 20% of the cost of a Thermoworks Smoke which offers two channel monitoring.  By the time you buy 2-3 cheap, no name products you're close to the cost of a Thermoworks product.  Ask me how I know....

Have you seen the thermometer reviews (and everything else) on http://amazingribs.com/bbq_equipment_reviews_ratings/thermometer-reviews-and-ratings
I have a Thermopop and Thermoworks ET-733.   Haven't used anything else to give an opinion though.

For 20 bucks, it doesn't hurt to try it. It may do all you need or it may be a piece of crap. If it's crap, you're not out much money, and then get a Thermoworks Smoke.

I've been using Thermoworks products for years. Nothing butt praise.  :)
Multiple kettles and WSM's. I am not a collector, just a gatherer... and a sick bastard.

Do not have the "Smoke" but I do have five(5) other Thermoworks Thermometers and I am one satisfied customer.
