A three foot tall pepper bush is still big. I imagine living on the left coast and not having to deal with frost has helped some. Here in SE NC we have 2 seasons. February and summer.lol. Frost comes early about mid October. I gave up having a ground garden, because the rains come at the wrong time and am the process of building a raised garden.

@Jason  - Looks great!  I just planted a jalapeno plant at my soon to be new permanent residence in Denver...once I move permanently from AZ.  I hope it does half as well as your bush is doing.  Have you tried smoking them slow and low as a snack during longer cooks?  I still haven't tried them fast, but might have to give them a shot.

No, I haven't tried them that way yet. I have plenty, so I just may try them that way too. Thanks for the idea, Mike!

@Jason  -  Makes for a good beer/cocktail absorber during a long smoke.  And 2.5 hours looks like is burned to hell, but it takes 2-2.5 hours for the bacon to get really good.  It will not longer be chewy but will not be falling apart crispy.
