A buddy of mine came across a pretty nice red 18 inch electric kettle.. I have no clue how rare it really is... He has expressed some interest in my 77 brownie and he was talking about a trade.. can someone give me an idea on what these electric kettles  go for?.. I really don't want to trade my brownie but I do want this red 18..lol...Thanks Stellato

Heyjude

If its a Red Electric 18, its fairly rare.  You are more likely going to be able to find a plain Brown 18 over it.
Does it function? The parts inside are prone to failure with no known replacements.
Post up some pics for us.

I have picked up two NOS red electric kettle over the past 3 years (22 and 18).  I purchased the below NOS 22 electric at an estate sale along with a NOS Aristocrat.  The guy running the estate sale initially priced the below at $500.  It sat for two days.  At the end of the sale I got it for $200. Not has marketable as charcoal.

Yes...as @Heyjude mentioned, you'll find a brownie again before an electric kettle.  They are pretty rare yes.  What is the value of them?  Probably less than most 22 charcoal kettles or the more rare colors.  To the right person they can have some value though.  They are a tough sell to most people... similar to that of the gas kettles.
