Welcome to the 2nd annual WKC Show & Shine 2013!

Well it's a beautiful eighty degree day out here in sunny California. I almost didn't make it this year. It's been busy and we all had an extra long winter. I just want to take a second to thank everyone for their support. I couldn't have done this without you. I also want to thank my sponsor Brians Handles for the quality craftsmanship that helps bring these old grills back to life as well as AJ and his Weber rescue team as well as Neil my east bay connection for spotting this. Also a special thanks to Troy and the rest of the WKC for all of their efforts, hard work and dedication in putting this on again this year. Last but not least thanks to my wife for her patience with me while I worked on this and my son for helping me sand. This was our first project together. He will be taking a picture with it as soon as he gets up from his nap. ;D

My hat's off to you good folks!  ;)

Now let the show begin! :D

That turned out really nice.  A lot of hard work!  Nice touch on the wheels again.  What are the plans for this grill?

Nice job. If you could ride a time machine that is what one would look like at the local hardware store 40 years ago.

Wow, top notch job there Duke!
Not everyone deserves to know the real you. Let them criticize who they think you are.

Duke

Thanks for all of the great compliments everyone. They are really appreciated! I actually have a few details left on it that I will work on here and there. I am also going to put it up for sale soon. I have some other new projects on the way and need to make room. I just hope I can find a buyer that appreciates the labor I put into this project. I usually just get lowballed on craigslist. :-[

I also hope that some of you will show some of your projects here. I am going to be posting a few more here myself this spring and definilty this summer. So let's keep this thread alive. ;)

Fantastic.

What is the red strap you hung the hood on.  Is that a Duke or Weber thing?  I have not seem one before but think it is a great idea.

Great job, your the master.
