Saturday I got to assemble and run a chimney of charcoal through my 22" MT to burn off all the oils and grease.
Sun I fired it up for its first maiden cook....Grilled portabello's topped with bacon and 3 cheddar cheese,Bacon wrapped corn and I spatchcocked a yard bird.
I gave the bird a 1 hour headstart at 400 degrees indirect.mushrooms and corn added after the one hour and placed directly over the coals......enough rambling.....my pics tell the story and I like Pics.
First off I need to get in the right frame of mind....I have special tools for that.....whiskey,cigars and James Gang.
Pretty much cooked at 400 degrees.
I brushed the shrooms with evoo and seasoned with garlic powder and S&P.
Things are all done and ready for the plate....
My plate...yummy.
All in all it was a good cook...been a few years since I have used a kettle.....but it come back to me real quick......Thanks for looking Guys and Gals.

Wow colour on the bird is great. Did you turn it or just keep meat up the whole cook?

Eddie, go over there and get all of that wood, I need half a tree. Chop that tree.
And Charlie, go get me 2 gallons of gasoline out the shed.
C'mon, you wanna eat? You wanna eat?
