Cooking for 52!
« on: April 30, 2017, 08:12:07 PM »
Had the 3rd annual AP US History Review Bbq tonight!  Smoking on the Ranch was great!  Minion is the way to go for me.  @Old Dave was right!  50 lbs of pork butt on Ranch, ABTs on the Fleetwood (Old Reliable), Moinks on the Aristocrat (The Phoenix), beans on the green...then veggie burgers and hot dogs on the Aristocrat to finish off a long day of cooking.  Finally after the review game, I gave away a Go-Anywhere to one of my students for winning the review.  A great time was had by all!

That looks like an incredibly good time. Good job on the cookup. Was this occasion "bring your own chair?"

You have an impressive collection of kettles. And what looks like a large amount of rosemary growing behind.

What are in your ABTs?  Mango or something wacky?  Its funny to see a schlafly shirt out in the wild a few states away...especially the Cardinals one.  I have their White Lager and Hoppy wheat in the kegerator right now.  Obviously they are extremely local to me.

I stuff my ABTs with mango chunks.  I think it makes a great idea even better.  I miss Schlafly...wish they distributed out here.  I'm especially fond of their Kolsch in the summer, and their Pumpkin Ale in the fall...Every other Pumpkin Ale I've ever tried is TERRIBLE.  Schlafly should market that nationally every fall.

HA...I wish I was Aaron Franklin...I'd have mastered brisket, be fabulously wealthy, and would probably be able to retire from teaching:).

I doubt he's fabulously wealthy. Austin is stupid expensive now a days.

Either way..awesome cookup.
