Same here HoosierKettle only I've been getting it at GFS.  I think one side of it is non-stick too.
Looking for: Red MBH 26"(The Aristocrat), Chestnut-coppertone (The Estate), Glen-blue (The Imperial), and The Plainsman.

After some research I ordered the butcher paper.

By the way there are also some good arguments to try it besides any health concerns for those worried their rugged manliness or nuts would be jeopardized using paper instead of bad ass metal foil. ;)

It might be superior as a happy coincidence.

I use Heavy Duty Aluminum Foil ... Love the stuff.

Perhaps she should be more concerned about chemtrails .... Just sayin' ...  :o

Loosen the vice a bit ... And, all the best with whatever decision you go with.  ;D ;)
Q: How do you know something is bull$h!t?
A: When you are not allowed to question it.

HoosierKettle

I've enjoyed this unsuspected spirited back and forth on foil.

@kettlebb I took a look at Reynolds site. The "grill" foil has a non stick side (dull side). Apparently a food safe coating of some kind. The three packs I get are just regular heavy duty which their site doesn't specify being nonstick.

Correct. I use the grill foil. Don't think I'll stop either. Just to catch grease.

I ordered pink this am from Amazon Prime and it's on the way now.  Shoot me your address in a pm and I'll send you enough to test out and you decide if it's better/worse.

HoosierKettle

Wow man, thanks for the offer but I'm going to see my butcher tomorrow and I think he will give me some. I'll take you up on that if I strike out. Thanks.

I think you are still ok with hats unless you heat them up enough to off gass fumes.

My wife gets her beer in glass bottles for that reason. So far she is OK with foil in the Weber.

What? Are you just too manly to craft a hat out of pink butcher paper?

The picture below (sorry for the blur) is from the brisket episode of BBQ with Franklin. It the results he found after wrapping a brisket in foil vs butcher paper vs no wrap. If you haven't watched his show on PBS I highly suggest it. It has a lot of great info on smoking/grilling.

Amazon.com. Pink butcher paper. Just like Aaron Franklin.

Or buy some Martha wrap. Put the parchment paper side toward the meat.

I bought some and have used it on 2 separate brisket cooks and both times I had to remove it and go with foil or oven because the butcher paper got so soggy and messy from the brisket that the temps started falling... I must be wrapping it wrong, not tightly enough, or something else. Any thoughts?
