Triple dipped fried chicken.   I used Owens BBQ wing rub in place of the other seasonings in the recipe below.  Seasoned the chicken, dipped in dry flour mixed with more Wing rub, dipped in wet batter then one last dip in the dry.  A full  vortex of KBB and pecan and apple wood chunks.  Cooked for almost an hour. 

Amazing!

NIIICE! was this the recipe that lets the fat in the skin be the "oil" for the "frying"? I've been trying to find that post... Looks awesome!

It was plenty crispy.  If you didn't see how it was made you wouldn't know it wasn't cooked in oil.

I love grilling breaded meat...Chicken, pork, even did some breaded burgers once that were fantastic...
