Thanks for the patience guys
I got to this person's house, and to my surprise, it was everything they said it was and more. For 5.00 bucks!
How bout that? Best damn little kettle I've ever seen!! LOL
Sorry guys, but I couldn't resist.
Did a little research and it turns out this is a vintage Western enamelware coffee pot/kettle. It was produced in the early 60's...around the same time the Weber Westerner was around. I also found matching cups, saucers, and plates that could purchased as sets to go with the kettle.
Certainly neat stuff. Its interesting how the colors, the fade, and longhorn steer is near identical to the Weber kettle. Makes me wonder if Weber copied this because it was popular at the time?
So as much as I like this piece, we all know where it 'belongs' and that's where it will be traveling to soon.
Sorry for the buildup...perhaps it would have been best to wait one more month to do this!!
