Does that count the NOS Westerner at Weber HQ?

Thanks for the patience guys
I got to this person's house, and to my surprise, it was everything they said it was and more.  For 5.00 bucks!

How bout that?  Best damn little kettle I've ever seen!!  LOL

Sorry guys, but I couldn't resist.
Did a little research and it turns out this is a vintage Western enamelware coffee pot/kettle.  It was produced in the early 60's...around the same time the Weber Westerner was around.  I also found matching cups, saucers, and plates that could purchased as sets to go with the kettle.
Certainly neat stuff.  Its interesting how the colors, the fade, and longhorn steer is  near identical to the Weber kettle.  Makes me wonder if Weber copied this because it was popular at the time?
So as much as I like this piece, we all know where it 'belongs' and that's where it will be traveling to soon.
Sorry for the buildup...perhaps it would have been best to wait one more month to do this!!

You should be banned for that!  And you're not off the hook for the new family portrait this year.

Very cool pot through. I'm sure it was made to match the kettle. (Or was it the other way around?)

Now that I think of it. Weber was known to take clues from pottery. The "chromoveil" finish on the late 50s kettles was a nod to the McCoy Brush pots that introduced that finish earlier. Now this? I'm guessing George and his wife were pottery collectors.

holy shit that's hilarious. the build up made it a better end story haha. sigh, I'm literally laughing right now cuz how many times has this happened where you get offered or go to buy something with this much anticipated greatness just to he like "oh, that's it?" I know I have. too much good stuff on this site lol
